Six Years

6 years ago today I was putting on a beautiful white dress and making my hair pretty and getting ready to make the best decision of my life! I had the honor of making Lance my companion in this life and for eternity! How I snagged him up and got him to propose in the first place I will never know but I thank heaven every day for him in my life!
It's been 6 years since we were sealed for time and all eternity!
6 years! It's been the greatest hardest hardest beautiful years of my life!
It's crazy to look back at what we went through. If you'd asked me 6 years ago if I saw myself where I am today - living in Texas, lance in chiropractic school, 8 month old daughter and me a stay at home mom. I would have thought you were crazy. I am so glad We have put our faith into The Lord and listened to the spirit guide us where we needed. I am so grateful for the trials we have gone through for they made us stronger as individuals and as a couple and because they made the good times that much better. There are lots of things I don't understand or know in this life but these things I know without a doubt ; Christ lives and suffered for our sins, Heavenly Father hears our prayers and answers them( not always in the way you thought But he answers them) family is the most important thing we have in this world, I love Lance more than anyone could love another human being, lance and I work great together, and last but not least we make beautiful babies!
Happy anniversary Lance, love of my life, McGee! Here's to eternity!

Quality time as a couple.

I have been trying to think of things that will help build and strengthen our marriage and relationship towards each other.
Lance and I are the kind of couple who just have tons of fun together no matter what we are doing. We are each others best friends and the whole no secrets in our relationship works well. People know if you tell me not to say anything I won't but Lance doesn't count he is like a branch of me .. I guess that's one way to describe it. Anyways we have a good relationship but with every relationship if your not actively working on it caring for it nurturing it. Then what are you doing? I had the lesson in yw on Sunday and one of the topics was - how can I strengthen your testimony?
We have all heard the plant a seed/ testimony comparison. So we decided that once a week we would read a conference talk together from this last conference. We have been trying to think of ways to 'fireproof' our marriage and thought this a good idea for us to grow in the gospel together. Cause let's face it when people get married they don't think yeah in x amount of years we're probably gonna get divorced. It can happen in any marriage. Lance and I don't want that happening to ours and we will work our best to insure it doesn't by putting in the time and work now. I'm am excited!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day has always been a rough day for me between the years of yearning to be a mom and being a mom to angel babies but not feeling like 'celebrating' because I didn't have my own baby in my arms to hold. Mother's Day to me is honoring the women who love like a mother.

My Aunt Judy never birthed a kid but she was a mother in my eyes. She was my second Mom she loved me as her own. I hope I can feel like a second Mom for my nieces and nephews because I love them as my own and would do anything for them.
This Mother's Day is the first one I feel like celebrating and am honored to be Kensleys Mother. Not a day goes by I don't thank Heavenly Father for her. I also don't go a day without praying for my sweet friends who are waiting for their own miracle baby. So for all the Women who have their own babies the women who are waiting and the women who love other children as their own Happy Mother's Day!

Time Marches on...!!!!

How is it March already!!! Kensley will be 6 months old on the 12th!! She is all over the place rolling around and scooting she hasn't mastered the sitting up on her own yet but getting there! She is finding new sounds and loves to be vocal! She is such a happy baby and loves to smile and cuddle!!

I am still doing no poo and still liking it! So far I have gone5days without washing my hair! And I think that is the max I can and will go! Lol happy march!

5 days no poo!

Well it's Friday and I just washed my hair 'no poo' style again. Which means my hair wasn't washed since Sunday night!! And this week I got more compliments on my hair! I forgot to take a picture today of how my hair looked but basically it looked greasy! I will take a picture today after my hair dries today. Today I noticed too my scalp was itchy which made me want to wash it e en more!! Lol but it's almost been a week and so far I like it!

Day 3

So today is day 3 of no poo I washed my hair Sunday night and its Wednesday morning this is what my hair looks like after I brushed through it. Does it look clean? I feel like its a little oily but I think I'm going to wait till tomorrow to wash it! 4 days! Now I do still shower I just put my hair in a high pony tail and keep my hair dry. So far I'm liking it.

No poo hair!

So last night I washed my hair no poo style and let it air dry went to bed and woke up this morning brushed out my hair and then curled it so here are the before and after pictures. No product in my hair at all!

So I have been trying to figure out how to make my hair healither I have noticed build up like nasty white film on my scalp. not like dandriff its hard to describe but anyways I was on Pinterest watching the Grammys and found this pin! how to wash your hair No Poo Style.

 I have heard of people not using shampoo or washing hair once a week kinda thing but never heard of "no poo" so this was all new and very interesting! I am trying to be more healthy and using less chemicals to me sounds good :) I know I'm weird and it might sound crazy but I'm use to Crazy!

check out her blog code red hat she blogs about  no-poo. It talks about how you wash your hair with baking soda and water on your scalp and then vinegar and water on your ends. So tonight I tried it out I am excited to see how it goes and if it makes my hair grow faster and healthier. As my hair is trying tonight it feels clean and smells clean not like vinegar or anything really. I'm excited to see what it does! plus its cheap! and I'm running out of shampoo anyways so I figured I'd try it out! :) I'm interested in seeing how my hair curls and what not. If any of you wanna join me feel free to!! :) I'd love to hear how it works for others too! :)

This Really is My Life

      After so many years of trying and  thinking I might just not have a baby in this life after all and losing hope and having many heart breaks and then picking myself back up and holding on to Lance's Faith that everything was going to work out and we would get our baby! I still can't believe that I have a baby.
      A year ago yesterday I heard her heartbeat for the first time! It was the most beautiful sound I have ever heard in my life (up until I heard her cry.)  I am amazed everytime I go get her out of her crib that she is mine! her sweet giggles and smiles melt my heart! Or when she falls asleep in my arms I wish I could hold her forever! I just want to squeeze her!!! This little baby of mine is just soo precious! She was worth the wait! I will never understand the why's of things that happened but thats okay because in my heart I know that the things I went through were preparing me for this moment. The moment I became Kensley's Mama. She is truly our rainbow baby and such a miracle and joy in our lives! I still laugh at myself everytime I still get choked up when I'm holding her or feeding her or hear her laugh. Its silly really its been 4.5 months now and I still can't keep the water works in control! In the quiet of the night when I sneek in to check on her my heart melts and I say in my head "This really is my life!" I'm not dreaming.
      We are so blessed to have this little miracle in our home and she has brought so much joy and peace into our lives. I like to go through her pictures at night and see how she has grown! I just love her soo much! So here are some pictures enjoy!

Getting there

So it's been 2 weeks since I started the taislim challenge and I am feeling great! So far I lost almost 10lbs ( 9.8) and 20 inches !! I have been hitting the gym at night when k is sleeping and lance is home. Yesterday I was at a friends house watching kids while she picked a friend up at the airport and I didn't lose my breath or felt like dying when I was running/ chasing after them! It's the small victories that mean a lot! Lol I love getting back in shape and I am loving taislim! Lbhealth.freelife.com has all the info about the shakes and products I'm using and about the challenge!!:) here's to more milestones!

2013

'SO this is the New Year!...'.-Death Cab for Cutie

Its a New Year and I only have a few minutes to blog K is napping so I figured I'd update my blogs! I am gonna tey to be better about updating this blog more for my Family and friends that aren't close by!
Lance started Tri 5 on Monday! he has class mon-thur 7am-5pm no thats not a typo! crazy! But so glad he has Fridays off even though most likely they will be a day of study anyways! But He Graduates Next Year! this is his last year for lectures and then he is in the clinic! Dec 2014 is getting closer!! He is still teaching Elders Quorum every 4th Sunday and Loving Chiropractic! Over the break he got to work on his Dad I think every night we were with them! :) Lance loves when people are willing to get adjusted by him so he can gain more expirenece! He also got to help with building my Parents house in Young! He had a blast with my brother Duston and spending more time with him and my Dad. The house is looking great! while we were in AZ Lance was able to bless our little Kensley and it was beautiful having so many friends and family there to support! It was such a special Day!
Kensley Noel had her 1st Christmas and was soo sweet and cute for family! She really is such a good baby and so happy! We are very blessed!! She finally noticed her toys hanging on her car seat and found her mouth! fingers hands and toys go straight to it now! She still sucks her thumb!! :) and sleeps through the night! she is doing so good! she is our BIG baby! 17.2 pounds 26 inches yeah she's huge! I love it!! She got to see her first Snow fall this Christmas as well!! It was sooo awesome! She is almost rolling from her back to her tummy but not quite there yet! She has found her laugh and Lance says she gets it from me.....She kinda snorts! Its the cutest thing ever! We have so much fun with her! She is such a cuddle bug and Daddy and Mommy LOVE that! She loves Bathtime sooo much! She always has a smile to give! She is just so much fun and Brings sooo much joy into our home! We feel so blessed to be her Parents!
I am loving Motherhood! I love the typical housework stuff laundry, cleaning, dinner making ect stuff! I love spending my days with K and watching her Grow I want her to slow down so bad but I don't see that happening! dang it! I am still nursing and hope to be able to nurse at the very least 1year but 18 months would be awesome! We shall see! I am still the Young Womens Secretary and loving it. I do miss Relief Society but Its all good! I love the new teaching material! Life is great here in Texas! oh I hear my little one! Its time to go!

The Good Life

I haven't blogged in forever!! Lots to blog but haven't made the time! When Kensley is awake I like to entertain her more like she entertains me! and when she is napping I'm cleaning/laundry/cooking/sleeping... Kensley Is growing so fast! Grandma Kay was here for 6 weeks! We Loved her visit! so did Kensley! Grandpa/ Papa Johnston came out the weekend before Nana Kay left. K loved it! We went to the State Fair and it was such a blast! K was amazing during the whole day! She ate slept and was awake for alittle bit!  Enjoy the Pictures!!

Nana Kay Left and I was on my own! Thankfully K sleeps great! has from birth! It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be by myself! :) We have been blessed with such a sweet spirit!! She is sleeping threw the night now and that is wonderful! just before her 2 month mark she slept 8 hours straight! and has kept it up! and even has gone as long as 10 hours! She is amazing! seriously the PERFECT baby! She cries when she's over tired sometimes and when she's hungry! she has tons of smiles to share and loves to "talk" She got to meet all her family! well most of all her family :) We are so excited for christmas to be with family again!!
