Not being "stressed"

I would consider myself one who doens't get stressed out very easily.....

HOWEVER lately I have been STRESSED TO THE MAX!! I don't think I have ever been this stressed before in my life and every where I read about making babies say stress doesn't help....RED FLAG! I need to figure out a way to destress......I thought of bubble baths with music...but often times when I get to thinking I can't calm my mind form going all over the place and end up getting more worried or stressed...

.....Any ideas of what you do to not be stressed!?

For me it is cuddling up on the couch with a good book or movie. I do enjoy a good bath but it doesn't really relax me to lay in a too small tub, with water that is getting colder and colder, and of course seeing my unclothed bod doesn't help. So say no to the bath and get a good movie or book a yummy snack and just get lost in somebody elses world.

Good Luck!

I find running helps relieve my stress. whether is be on a treadmill or a track - it just clears my mind, and makes me feel better about myself.

my advise would be to find a hobby. when we were trying to get pregnant it was so easy for me to focus on the fact that it wasn't happening, i felt better doing something that i enjoyed and something i was good at. i took up running and it really helped me feel better, not only mentally but physically as well. and on the bad days i would get my anger out by running harder and faster-it felt good!

We need to go have a girls night out. Get glitter toes, a good chick flick and some yummy dessert! That always helps me for at least a little bit. I also started a daily journal for just me to read and see...it was only a positive journal nothing could be written in it that was negative or would make me frustrated or more stressed. Sounds really simple but it really helped me out!

Walking or other forms of exercise. It actually produces those good endorphines (sp?) and it always helps me to feel better. :)

I clean - good old fashioned elbow grease deep cleaning. Or eat a whole lot of chocolate... :)

I agree with cleaning and taking up a hobby :) Both require hard work that you can reap the benefits of later! Nothing feels better than working hard all day to clean the nitty gritty corners of everything and feeling SO accomplished afterwards!

Back in HS since I somehow managed to stress myself out everyday with who knows what I would run. It doesn't sound very stress relieving but man it does wonders! Now if I get stressed I take a walk. Or go shopping for 'me'. Its nice to separate yourself from the situation. I think it helps you evaluate it and helps you work through it.
Hope your stress gets better! I hate stress!
