10k Hotcake Hussle!

Okay this is a late post about my 10K run on sat the 14th of January but I wanted to post about it.!

This go around Lance ran a 5k and I did the 10K which I was ahead of him on that run when he caught up to me just before the 5k goes to the finish line and 10k makes their second loop. and thats when I thought to myself " Brit why didn't you just sign up for the 5k! you'd be done by now!" and I headed towards the loop. after mile 5 my nose was just not letting me breathe so I did what I had to...I blew my nose into my sweater. gross i know but I had to breathe! lol and then I finished the race in 1:19 minutes 4 minutes over the time I wanted to finish but I'm proud of my 1:19. It felt amazing to be in a race again and I love that I didn't feel like death or wanted to die! lol I am excited for my Marathon in April! Still have more training to go of course but still super excited for it!! :) I'm very happy and excited that I started working out and eating better last September I'm Grateful for WLB for the encouragement I got there and for the support of my sweet hubby and Family and friends :)

It feels good to feel healthy :)

The First Day of 2012

Happy New Year! I still can't believe 2011 is over and gone....It really is insain how fast time is flying! I have been very much MIA from blogging since Thanksgiving sooo here is a quick update...
I started working for Wells Fargo part time Nov. 28th I still work at DollarTree part time too. I just applied to 3 different locations for Fulltime assistant Store Manager and I'm really hoping I get it! that means more money and no Wells Fargo! woot woot! :) happy day! however because of my schedule I let myself get lazy and get less exercise in ! not good! I have a 10k Hotcake run on the 14th of January where Lance is running a 5k in. and My marathon is April 15th! goodness that is in 3 months and 14 days! :) I have a long way to go still! I don't like new years resolutions I like Goals for the year..some might say they are the same thing but lets face it new years resolutions are over rated and most of the time not attainable.... my goal isn't to lose x amount of pounds..my goal is to finish my Marathon in 6 hours not a minute more. I also want to do a run about every 3 months and I'm debating doing nothing less than a 10k this year... a goal Lance and I have always made is of course get Pregnant!! well the last 2 years we have got that! however This years goal is not get pregnant but to actually HAVE a baby...or at least have a healthy pregnancy. I would very much like a baby in 2012. VERY MUCH.

I would like to be in management at Dollar Tree this year which is looking very good!. I want to just continue what I've been doing since October. working out, eating healthier, and just feeling better about myself and life.

Today I ran 4 miles in 55:09 it was a great kick in the butt for me. I finished WLB in Nov. at 191then got down to 187.8 and then the holiday's came and working 60 plus hours a week between 2 jobs and me being lazy and thinking just this one time i won't go to the AAC and i wasn't exercising like i needed to be and BAM I weighed in today at 194.2 such a bummer but i'm not gonna dwell on it what did I do? I went running. ps a BondiBand is AMAZING!! love it! well then Happy New Years to you all.

2011 in a Glance for the McGee's

Dear 2011,

You started out as the hardest year for me as I was still in grief over our lost baby. We decided to Take a trip to the Caribbean but after looking at prices decided to go to Europe on our Dream Cruise the Mediterranean Cruise!! we booked it in January! and then got to add our family with Lance's Brother getting married in March Lance decided he wanted to be A Chiropractor and in turn started our applications to schools... April 27 we flew across the country to Venice Italy! spent 3 days there and then shipped off our amazing cruise where we got to see Italy in its finest! Rome, Pompeii, Florence, Taramina where we had the BEST GELATO EVER! oh how i miss Gelato!! We fell in Love with Italy!! May came and we celebrated 4 years! and heard back form both schools that Lance got accepted! June Lance picked Texas. Parker University! July brought much happiness as we found out we were pregnant again. August found us heart broken that yet again we lost our baby. August also found us MOVING! the 19th found us in Addison Texas in a cute 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment. September Lance started school and Brittany started working out! September was a pretty emotional month for Brittany. October came and Brittany finally got a job at Dollar Tree. November came and Lance was passing all his classes and doing great in school. Brittany won a weight loss competition and got a second job at Wells Fargo.
December is here and its been a way better one than last year!. December marks the end of Lance's first Trimester in which he Passed with 3 A's and 3 B's! which is AMAZING!! He did amazing! We get to spend Christmas in the Lonestar state this year :) just the two of us and we are excited for that but we do miss our family's sooo much! So 2011 thank you for all the laughs they amazing Gelato and the heartbreak it has been a good tough great year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Reamping the Training

Well my training for Wells Fargo is over so Now I will be working just over 40 hours instead of like 60...so Training for my marathon BEGINS!!!

I have a 10K for January 14th! super excited for that! I haven't been able to work out as much and some days have been next to none but I stay busy at DT with all the running around in that store I got a few work outs in after thanksgiving and a 11 mile bike ride. But this week I am going all out! I weighed in today and to my suprise I am still at 187!!! so this week i'm doing cardio and eltipcal and weights! I really wanna beat my Dad in the marathon so I gotta start pushing myself and watching what I eat and making ever workout count! I still have over 40 pounds to lose so ....No more playing around now. I got new shoes! so my feet don't hurt and I am so ready to get this going on! I got get back in motion and on the right path! because by the marathon I will be at my Goal weight 140! :)woot woot!!!

Thanksgiving

My last pie is in the oven as I am typing this and I am so ready for bed! I am Sooo excited for tomorrow! Thanksgiving! My Favorite Holiday! Its the best! :)

I am so grateful for family traditions! every thanksgiving my Family runs in the Mesa Turkey Trot! :) Tomorrow morning I am waking up and even though I am 1000 miles away I am running my own Turkey Trot! :) I'm pretty excited but wish I could be there with my family!! :( but Its all good.

Thanksgiving always makes me think of the things I am grateful for. which in turn make me think of the things and people I love!! I am so grateful to have been raised by my parents! They are such amazing people and wonderful examples! I am so grateful for all the triathlons I got to run with my Dad growing up and looking back now I wish I would have made a bigger deal out of it and actually trained with my Dad ect... but I loved that he would sign me up with him before asking me if I wanted to :) especially cause I probably would have sad no lol But I am grateful for the time my Mom gave us kids growing up and her hardwork to keep our house functioning and our home a place where I felt peace and Love. and for her yummy meals! ( I Miss her dinners! lol)

My Sisters! I have such Great Sisters including in-laws! I consider all my Sister " In Laws" My own sisters! They seriously are the Greatest! I miss them A LOT!! I miss talking To Alli all the time about anything and everything and living just down the street from her. That was so much FUN! I have come to realize that I really want to live within walking distance to a family members house. My Sisters are the best lol! I was the youngest and they always included me in Everything even when I was the bratty younger sister who got on everyone's nerve.

My Brother and Brother In Law's for growing up with only one brother ( 11 years difference) I am sooo grateful that we are as close as we are! Maybe its the California Blood but We just get eachother. I love him tons and am soo honored to be his Sister. My sisters have married such wonderful men as well and I am so glad they are apart of my family! I also married into wonderful brothers! they are the best! so much fun to be around! I miss them all soo much!! Who Dat!! ;)

My wonderful Mom and Dad McGee who I don't consider my in laws because they have truely made me feel like one of their own. When I talk about them I forget to clearify that they are my in law's so people get confused lol It was sooo easy to call them Mom and Dad and I am soooooooo grateful to them for the people they are and the man they raised. They have raised such great kids! They are so sweet and kind! My Mom can make anything! she has such a wonderful talent and someday when we live closer to them I am gonna learn how to do some of her amaziness stuff! lol . My Dad is so fun and so funny to be around. He makes everything better and I am so grateful for the great example he has been to his son. especially since they are like twins! lol I just love them so much!

My Dear friends who I have no idea what I would do if I didn't have them in my life! Moores, Ellis, Coopers, Fanny, Hallows, Ashlee, Martins, Wendi, Kiara, Deborah, Las, Cha Chi, Lindsays, Bowmans, Stefanie, Hummers.... For all of you who have kept us in your prayers during our infertility issues and hard times I appreciate it soo much! and Have felt your prayers especially during the last hard time in Aug. You kind words and support mean more than you will ever know. I feel so blessed to have brushed shoulders with you.

Lance My sweet amazing handsome kind considerate funny happy smart hott wonderful caring loving (this list can literly go on forever) Husband! I can't even put into words how to describe just how grateful I am know him let alone be his companion forever. In our hardest times he has never lost the faith and and has always remained so strong and hopeful! So accepting and thoughtful of me and all my woman issues. He is such a great man and I am so blessed to have him in my life and I am so grateful I went to EAC a semester early and so grateful he Elbowed my roommate in the head playing volleyball. I am so grateful that he didn't take his full ride to U of A and instead listened to the spirt and went to EA one more year! Marrying Lance was the smartest most wonderful greatest decisions I have ever made in my life. I love him so much.

7 Weeks and 19 pounds later

Win Lose or Blog is over. Today was the Final weigh in! Next tuesday the results and then Thursday or Friday we find out the prizes and rankings or something not sure.... but I Have truely Enjoyed every part of this experience and Would encourage anyone who needs a little more/ extra motitvation to look at being a contestant for any future seasons! The Team over there is AWESOME! just reading their blog post's help motivate me to be better! I still got more to lose but I am soo excited! Lance and I are doing a 5k in January called the Hot Chocolate 5K here in Addison! :) and April I am running a Marathon here in Dallas with My Dad!! :) Lance and my mom are running the half marathon! :) I am excited! I have always wanted to run a marathon and I am so happy I get to run my first Marathon with my Dad! :) He and I have ran many triathlons together out of all his kids him and I have ran the most together! :) I loved doing these races with my Dad and am so grateful I have a Dad that is 57 and still healthy and inshape that he can Run many triathlons,An Ironman, the AZ Ironman ( today) and marathons! I am really grateful to have WLB be able to help add motivation on my journey to get back to my Healthy size and hopefully have a healthy pregnancy in the future. :) So here is my Before and After Picture of when I first started WLB.

I got this Dallas Texas shirt in 2006 in El Paso when we flew out to Kristy and Adams ( my sister and her hubby) Open House in Oklahoma. I haven't been able to Fit into it since 2008. I have kept it because I love it I like Texas and I love shirts that have a story. So I packed this because I knew I wanted to be able to wear it Here in Dallas at some point. Well I wore it Friday night for mine and Lance's Date night :) so excited that it fit! :) I'm a woman with PCOS and I've lost 11.16% of my body weight since September. and 9.05% while a contestant on Win Lose or Blog....My goal is to get back dow nto 140! that would be 34.88% lose of body weight..I got a long ways to go but It's totally worth it!!

A Lot Happens ...

In A Year.

A year ago I never pictured ourselves where we are now. A lot has happened. I got my first positive pregnancy test, I got to wear my "Baby" shirt finally, I got to be pregnant at the same time with one of my best friends, I got the worse ER visit ever, and had my heart shattered and my world turned upside down with my first pregnancy loss, I got to go to Italy and visit Venice! Lance applied to Chiro School, Lance got accepted into Chiro School, I got my second positive pregnancy test and got to be pregnant at the same time as my sister and a few of my close friends, and yet again got my heart broken by the fact that I miscarried again, We moved to Texas, started Chiro School, and got a job at Dollar Tree, I also got accepted to be on season 6 Win Lose or Blog, lost over 22 pounds, and I am Still madly in Love with my Husband...
A lot happens in a year. A lot has happened that I wish didn't happen but because it did Lance and I have grown so much more closer and I have a deeper respect for him that words can never describe. I am grateful I have a Father In Heaven who knows me and who has not forgotten me. I know there are good things to come... even when the road may be extremly painful and hard. There is Beauty that can still be found. Thank Goodness I have an amazing spouse to walk hand and hand with on that road even though a lot of the times I feel like he is carrying me. So like I have many times before Mothers please hold your littles ones just a little longer tonight. Kiss them one more time before they go to bed and Hugg them just a little tighter for Me and for all the Mothers who have yet to hold their little ones. Thank You.

5K= Success!

So today was the 5k! 2:00pm came and I got my number and shirt and I was super nervous!! I drank over a half of a Gallon of water before the 5k I wanted to be hydrated for the Race! so after a couple of stops in the ladies room and talking with Lance and I knew I wanted to do it under 40 mintues! so 3:15 came and we all started getting in line and then 3:30pm the horn went off and I was off! I started warming up by speed walking for about 2 or 3 minutes and then I started jogging! It was sooooo windy and more hills then I was expecting! and the hills were going against the wind! it was pretty tough! but I kept moving! I had no idea how far I had gone there was no signs so i started getting worried that I still hadn't hit mile 1 and I was feeling like I was when I hit 2 miles...low and behold a few feet away the 2 mile marker!! another hill and wind to fight against and I just ran up the hill...bad choice don't do that just keep with the pace you are going cause after that my legs were ON FIRE! I started to speed walk for the first time since the warm up! but only for a minute max and then back to my pace and then I saw it! The most beautiful thing to see in a Race...The Finish line balloons!!! and I was off! I started picking up my pace I was getting to close to the 40 min marker so I started to run! and then I Saw My sweet Hubby! and I looked at the clock 36 min and I ran through the finish line! Lance then told me it was 36:12 to be exact!! I was soooo HAPPY!!! I did it! and I finished under the time I wanted!! It felt AMAZING!!! I am very proud of myself! I really wish my friend Amber could have ran it with me since this was her idea but I am sooo glad I did it and that on Sept 27th I started the C25K!! Lance said he would do a 5K with me in January too!! I need to keep these things going to keep me active and focus on a goal! I want to do a 5k a 10K and a Triathlon and maybe even a half marathon next year! 2012 here I COME!! I feel very grateful too WLB too because I know I wouldn't be this far in my weight loss journey had it not been for this competion either! I AM SOOO HAPPY right now!! :) thank you also to all of you who have left comments of encouragement to me too! It helps and helped a lot today!! gosh I LOVE RUNNING!!

so Since September 27th I've lost 10.23% of my body weight. I still have a lot to lose as you can see by my ticker on the right >

I feel super proud about how far I have come! I have 2 weeks left of WLB This Saturday is my 5k! I'm thinking I need to get another 5k or 10k set up for January so that I have that extra motivation to keep focus and working out regularly. I think having a Goal where I have get fit or stay fit helps me and I think its because I'm a little competitive :) So with a race It will help me. Plus I'm hoping I can get Lance on Board to do a 5k with me next year! :) cross your fingers he says yes!! :) He better after all he did sign up for an Ironman last year so a 5k is a piece of cake compared to that! :)

PCOS is frustrating to have and I often used it as an excuse as to why I was not losing weight but in reality looking back I never really exercised on a regulary basis. I thought I would see results after 1 or 2 work outs...yeah thats not the case! Be consistant :) So to all of you who are trying to get on the Healthy Train or Work Out Train or what ever it is that you want to do. Start today! because a year from now you'd wish you had.

Baby Fix

Today I am super grateful for all the mothers who allow women like me the chanve to hold their little ones at Church:)

Today I got to watch a little girl (bishopric's baby) I think she is like 4 months old ..she is soooo super cute and was sleeping when I got her. Her mom is in nursery so I got her all to myself in Relief Society and I loved it! I got my baby fix! :) Lance and I sit on the same bench with a family who has 6 kiddos and daddy's in the bishopric so we help out with the kids and I love it!! Their kids are great and sooo cute! We love it! It makes me feel like we have family in the ward cause we have our own bench that we sit at every week! I love it! :) So thank you to all the mothers who have let me hold their little ones I love it and I also love that it gives you a break cause lets face it...being a Mom 24/7 is A VERY TOUGH JOB! and I love being the person who gets to watch these little ones while their parents can breath and enjoy the lesson or just not have to worry about their little ones for a little bit. I really needed a baby fix today too! to those who are wondering what the heck a baby fix is...well let me explain for me a baby fix is when I ( a woman who doens't have her little ones to hold yet) yearn to hold a little one in my arms and look at their tiny hands and feet and look into their eyes and think wow they were just with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in Heaven! I also wonder what they are thinking when they see me make silly faces and what not. I've got Baby Fever thats for sure! lol

I am grateful for Babies and Children and parents who let me watch and/or hold their's. :)

Raw Food Update

as you can see by the clicker on the right..I have 2 weeks and 4 days left of the raw food Challenge :) So far I am loving this whole raw foods thing and I know already that I will make raw crackers A LOT MORE even after the 30days is up :) even Lance says they taste good. hardest part of this challenge is that Lance isn't doing it with me so making two meals and having to smell the goodness of his yummy turkey burger or chicken or mashed potatoes and hot dogs ( he made those) I am so wishing I had the veggie super links! they are so yummy! no they aren't raw but my goodness they are yummy vegetarian hot dogs..they don't taste anything like a meat hot dog but so yummy!

Yesterday Lance said he over heard some students in his tri talking about how they are eating raw foods too and how they are starving...okay first off I already know they aren't eating enough fruits and veggies. Why I say this is because I have not once felt starving on raw foods...I also snack during meals with nuts and fruits or an avocado cause I love those :) or i eat some raw crackers plus when i make a salad its not just lettuce its spinach, tomatoes cucumbers, bell peppers, carrots, avocado, sprouts....so I think those people who are starving need to increase veggies and fruits and get some raw nuts in there too! :) here is a picture of a snack I like to eat so yummy!

those are my raw crackers with avocado, cayanne peper, lemon juice, cumin, salt, and broth, with alfalfa sprouts( i love!!) and Spinach! sooo yummy!!!

Now being on Raw foods it changes your taste buds for sure! I have noticed I can really taste the spinach flavor and lettuce and the veggies taste different in a really good way its hard to explain but stuff taste different so i'm not sure if all the stuff i've made really does taste good or if its just me ;) i love food but i'm not very picky with my taste buds... but these are yummy! I am so happy for Thanksgiving and glad the 30 day challenge is over before that wonderful magical holiday! :) its sooo cold here and feels like fall and I can't wait to eat some stuffing and pumpkin pie! :) yum! my house smells like fall today too with my yummy candles!

I'm extremly grateful for this wonderful Man!!! I have no idea what I would do with out him or who I would be! He is my Best Friend! We tell eachother everything and I feel like kids again everytime we end up talking/laughing our heads off till the early morn! This guy is seriously so funny! and so cute and so thoughtful! I got so lucky and sooo blessed to have him in my life and as my husband! He makes my life so much more enjoyable! so he has this amazing personality and a very very nice body! I get the best of both worlds! :) yes i'm cheesy but so is mr mcgee! and thats the way we like it :)

My Hallmark Theory

I know in most cases people don't like to talk about their m/c and I think that its probably because people don't know what to say and so most of the time they say something terrible..so I can see why people don't talk about it. Thats why I have this Theory. its called the Hallmark Theory...

What cards can you not find at the store..cards on ..divorce, suicide, infertility, and miscarriages and i think birthmothers/adoption..... these are all things that hallmark doesn't have a card too I haven't seen any at least and it seems like these are the topics that people tend to not know what to say and end up saying something..STUPID. like for an example " At least you know you can get pregnant. I know someone who adopted a child and 3 months later was pregnant. Maybe its not your time. or Maybe its God's way of saying your not ready to be a mom. (ps i didn't just make these up these are all things i've been told nurerous times by people and many more other things that just make me want to scream...)
Now stop and think about putting that in a hallmark card...would you give your friend a card that says " At least you know you can get pregnant" after they lost a child? NO! of course not so Here is some advice if you don't know what to say think about putting what you are about to say in a hallmark card and see if it sounds good or if you buy a card that says that. if you wouldn't buy the card or if it sounds terrible in a hallmark card and you would never find a hallmark card that says that DON'T SAY IT! simple as that. so next time you are in a sticky situation and your not sure what to say Hallmark it first! if it doens't pass the Hallmark test keep your mouth shut....often times we don't tell friends these things so that you can find the silver lining or make it better cause you can't so don't try too... just cry with us. I still remember my co-worker who found out i had miscarried the first time and she just cried and gave me a hug and said she was so sorry to hear that i felt like she understood some amount of the pain i was going through and I appreciate her compassion towards me. So there you have it My Hallmark Theory.

and then there is that! left was taken in Aug of this year right before we left az I was around 218-217 pounds and then there is me on the right from today (197) so thats a good 20 pound difference...I never saw it much in my face until i put these pictures together! holy cow! I will never be that person on the left agian! good bye super chubby face!

Raw Living

I have had a lot of people contact me with questions about how my Raw Food Challenge is going and so forth and I've been meaning to write about how I am feeling and doing so far. First off I am so glad my Mom and Dad are doing it with me!! Even though they are in Az it helps to know they are just a phone call away and nice to get ideas from them.

So Saturday Oct 22 was the first day! So this is day 6 and I am feeling awesome! My taste buds are already changing I know this because I tried to cheat and I attempted to eat a candy corn and ended up spitting it out cause it was soo sweet and gross! I honestly thought this was going to be really hard and that I was going to be hungry and want "normal" foods but really I have not been hungry often I have to remind myself that its about time to eat something. I can't eat as much all at one time either. My Salad portions have had to be smaller than I usally make them because I can't finish them I am so stuffed! So you might think what do I use for dressing then?..well I have put a roma tomatoe in a food processor thing and lime juice and spices for one dressing, guacamole for another one I just put an avocado, lemon or lime juice, salt and veggie broth ( dr jensens) blend it up and put it on my salad. or I use lemon juice that was yummy i had avocado's on my salad and it was good with the lemon juice. i have put a roma tomatoe and avocado and blended them together also and it's yummy dressing :)

In the morning I drink at least 2 Boise State cups of water ( I don't know the oz on them lol ) before I eat something in the AM. Then I either have a green smoothie or a fruit smoothie or just eat fruit the other day I was really wanting a salad so I ate that for breakfast :)

Snacks I have had:

Pear, cashews, almonds, pineapple, half an avocado( and the other half i make into dressing), I made some "peanut butter cookies" aka almond butter, honey and ground almonds and freeze them. very yummy, raw onion flax crackers, raspberries and almond pulp from my nut milk..so yummy!

Lunch: salads romaine lettuce, spinach, kale, parsley, calantro, tomotoes , bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots, celery, sunflower seeds... get creative and change it up I usally don't put all of this in one but I combined and mix between these :)

Dinner- fruit salad, or a lettuce salad, I haven't made them yet but carrot cashew sandwhich are yummy! use romaine lettuce as the "bread" and a slice of tomatoe and onion with the carrot cashew mix ( carrots and cashew are blended up in the vita mix or champion juicer) i've had raw califlower "mashed potatoes" but used it as a veggie dip and that was gross but i knew it was healthy.

I love fruits and Veggies! all different kinds so eating so much of these in a day doens't bother me at all! I love avocados and tomatoes and pears and apples and nuts! raw cashews are so much better tasting to me than roasted ones. growing up we always had raw cashews and almonds and I would rather eat those raw than have the roasted I like them better that way.

I'll put some pictures up of my Crackers I made last night with the dehydrater. you can use a dehydrater as long as you never heat over 105.

Good Bye So long Farewell 200's

Well week 3 weigh-ins were Sunday and I was SOOOO happy!! I am no longer in the 200's!! HELLO 100's!! I never want to see the 200's ever again! I refuse to ever let myself get back there. 18 pounds gone since I decided to change my habits and get off my tooshy and Work out! I've been eating Raw Food's since Saturday and Feel great! I thought I was going to be hungry all the time and so forth not even close! I'm rarely hungry and eat because I know its been awhile or because its "lunch Time" or "dinner time" so I've been happy on it. not cracky or moody or have dealth wishes you can even ask Lance! :) I am feeling good and so much better! Saturday I Biked 15 miles and it felt Awesome! Last thursday or Friday I did 3 miles on the Eliptical and 5k on the tredmill. My first 5k I did on the tredmill was like 55 min and I felt like death! This last one was in 40:17 sec and I felt great! tired yes but death..no! :) I love seeing that difference! I think my body loves Consistancy and will work with me when I am being consistant. I work out 6/7 days and if I don't get over to the GYM I run outside or I do Strength training and pilates in my living room. when I'm watching tv I will do little exercises between comercials too even if i have done my work out for the day. I feel better. just with this little progress I feel healthier and happier with myself and about life in general. I am so glad I came across Amy's Blog because it was her that really inspired me to make a change in my life. I've got a long way to go still and am so excited to get there! :) I keep seeing the quote " A year from now you would have wished you started." Its so true! I am already glad I started :)

Raw Food Day 1

I Made some Yummy Nut Milk/ Almond Milk today! it was fun I blogged about it Here and the recipe is there as well.

My snacks today were

A Pear, Raw Cashew nuts, Raw Almonds, Cucumber, and Nut Milk :)

Dinner was this -

Everything is Raw and it was pretty good. I would make it again.

Salad-
romaine lettuce, cucumber diced, green bell peppers diced, Raw Peanuts and Sunflower seeds, Cut up Kale(no stem just leaves) and Cilantro

Dressing-

1 roma tomatoe, a little bit of kale and cilantro ( no stems on the kale just leaves)
a little bit of Lime juice
and a bunch of different herbs - sage, rosemary, chives, garlic powder, salt! must add salt or else this has no flavor and just taste like tomatoes lol I think somethign was missing from it as well but I can't figure it out. it was yummy though and i put it all in food processor i think is what its called....lol

Today I was never starving I was a little hungry for dinner but after that I worked out ( i usally go in the AM) and when i got home i ate some cashews and drank tons of water but never was I hungry really today! :) I was tired but i think that is because I didn't sleep very well last night. So 1 day down 29 to go! :)

Okay I wasn't going to post hese but I thought I should and after Aunt Mel told me how to figure out how to create photos like this I figured I would. Now these aren't the most beautiful pictures of me one i have no make up on and 2 i'm not trying to look good in them as you can tell but after i uploaded the last pictures yesterday i thought wow i can see a difference not a whole lot but hey thats 15 pounds gone Iwas thinking of changing my shirt now since this one is a little baggy what do you think should i change it or keep wearing it?

I still got a long way to go and 4 more weeks of Win,Lose, or Blog competion which has helped me a lot to stay motivated! I'm in a habit now that i'm working out about 5 to 6 days a week and i really don't want to break that habit! Tomorrow starts Raw Foods for the next 30 days! i am super excited for that too!! I will be posting pictures of what i'm eating and where I got the recipes and if they were yummy or not lol .

We have all heard that saying at time or another. Most of you who have followed my Blog and have read my post I tend to go the Natural route on things. Growing up in my house was a very unique expierence. My Dad was raised on Raw Foods he served a mission for the LDS church in Japan with no vaccines and eating Raw Foods many people told him he was going to get sick and harm his body by doing so. However those 2 years he served in Japan not one day was he ever sick. He can't say the same about his companions. He came home in April of 1975 and my Parents were married in July 1975. It wasn't until then that he ate meat and started to eat less raw foods. He became a Chiropactor in May of 1989 and raised all of us kids very healthy minded. growing up we never had cows milk from the store in our home, sugary cereal, candy, chocolate, soda pop, or junk food ( donuts, cookies, potato chips ect..) We were raised on raw almond milk made fresh by my Brother that was his chore and it wasn't until maybe I was 7 or 8 that we started getting Soy milk and Rice milk instead of almond milk. We always had fruits and veggies in our house. We had only Whole Wheat breads with no HFCS (High frutose corn sryup) If we were eating a chip it was a Corn chip and wasn't till I was in High School that we had Potato chips but those were baked all natural chips...we had pita chips humus carob and the cookies we had were homemade sweetend with Honey or turbinado sugar. mostly Honey though. used with whole wheat flour that my mom would usally gound up. We ate Carob candy bars for treats and had soy ice cream or rice ice cream in the house. If we got Ice Cream for our birthday with cake sometimes we could get Bryers vanilla ice cream which is all natural. that wasn't very often most of the times it was carob cake homemade and soy or rice ice cream. I loved it! to this day I love Carob Cake more than Chocolate cake. My Senior year in high school my Dad had us watch a video (I don't remember the name of it ) for FHE and it was one of his documentaries ones and when you're a teenager you think "are you kidding me dad..such a waste of time" even though everytime you watched them you ended up likeing them ( super size me...that was one he made us watch) well this video was about the Meat industry in America and after watching it I was a Vegetarian. cold turkey I think my parents thought I was kidding cause I remember my Mom made chicken for dinner and asked why I didn't get some on my plate and I said Mom I'm a Vegetarian! I'm not eating that chicken..the look on my parents faces! classic! So the reason I say all of this is because my background in healthy eating goes way back. Well college came and my heatlhy eating habits suffered greatly. I was eating less veggies and fruit and not paying much attention to what I was eating after a year of eating starchy foods, carbs and grains and less veggies and fruit I started gaining weight and Aunt Flow was no where to be found. Summer of 2007 to 2009 I was dealing with cyst on my ovaries and bursting and was diagnosed with PCOS May of 2009. When I was talking with the doctors they asked me if I was always irregular with AF and Never ever was I not until summer of 2007. Most people I have talked to have said they weren't suprised when they got their diagnosis because of that fact. I however was SUPER SUPRISED! I didn't take BC or Metformin to regulate me I went to my Dad for natural suppliments and Fall of 2009 went to Dr Brimhall for Acupuncture where he has a lot of knowledge about PCOS after a month of Acupuncture and watching what I was eating and bringing more veggies and fruits into my diet AF returned and I have been Regular ever since. Never missing a month ( except when I was preggers) When asked about my PCOS by my OBGYN she was very suprised that I was regular and not in so much pain. In my U/S I have had when they have looked at my ovaries they have been very impressed by how they are looking they are still enlarged but Not as many cysts on them....

Well I've been watching lots of documentaries and reading a lot on Health and Raw Foods, Cancer and natural remedies. I don't like that to hear that there is no cure for PCOS and that for the rest of my life have to deal with PCOS. I have to much belief and faith that our bodies can do amazing things to heal itself. So I'm putting myself to a test. I want to try to clear PCOS naturally. No metformin, no Birth control blah blah blah. I'm putting my body to the test. I'm becoming a Vegetarian again and I'm going back to my childhood in a sense. Because I never felt better in my life like I did when I was a vegetarian and eating healthy like my parents raised me. Lance said he was fine with going on a Raw Food diet for 30days. I'm not wanting it to be a diet for me as much as a lifestyle change. I would rather eat more raw foods, veggies, fruits ect.

This is the way I see it. I HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE! If it doesn't work fine I'm no worse off than I am now. I'm sure by now with how long this post is no one is going to read this and thats fine and if someone is they are probably thinking " Brittany you are crazy, or on crack or a whacky.." but I don't care it's not like I haven't heard those words before my Dads a Chiropractor, I was a Vegetarian before, i've never been vaccinated, I have done multiple cleanses and Lance is in Chiropractic school. yeah I have heard my fair share of people telling me i'm crazy or stupid or that i'm going to die or that that is sooooo unhealthy!!....yeah I was raised to go against the grain to challenge the "norm" and to always have an open mind and respect peoples own belief and opinions. But just cause I respect them in now way means I agree with them. With that being said if you are still reading this and thinking I'm off my rocker or crazy ect.. do some research see what benefits there are to eating raw foods , being vegan or vegetarian and so forth and research doesn't always just mean internet ask friends and family members if they have or have known anyone who has lived this lifestyle...raw foods, vegetarian, vegan..ect... ask people who have done it or are currently doing it.
Nothing wrong with educating yourself.

My Brother Duston and sister in law Monica suprised me this weekend! Lance picked them up after school on Friday and dropped them off at Dickies BBQ and came home and told me he wanted to go ou and eat today! so we left and I had no clue about Dusty and Monica being here in Texas! Monica video taped it! it was so funny! We had loads of fun went to the Fair ate fried bubblegum = GROSS, Fried buffalo chicken in a flapjack = YUMMY and Fried pineapple up side down cake = Yummy! It was so much fun talking and playing games and laughing and talking till 4 am and 8 am with dusty and Monica! we watched Strange Brew! oh my goodness so dumb but we kept quoting it all weekend eh! lol we ate some yummy food and had A BLAST!! I am sooo happy and sooo glad they came!!! IT ROCKED!! I love my family and miss them tons!

I'm a hopeless romantic and I always have been. I love that head over heels feeling you get when you fall in love. I love when scene's from your life make you feel like you're in a movie. First thing that comes to mind is kissing in the rain! Seriously total movie scene and when it happens in real life It's perfect "just like the movies". and yes I do like Twilight I am not ashamed that for my birthday 2 years in a row we went applesbees and to the movies to watch Twilight and New Moon. but I wouln't say that the relationships are unhealthy.. and how is this song an unhealthy message for those looking for the right one? I love it I Feel like right now with everything that has happen within this last year I'm finally at a place where I'm just trying to be Happy and working on me It isn't always easy some days but I am Happy with where I am at in life and Happy to be where i am here in Texas with Lance and getting him thru school and growing together. Life is good. Its October and I love October!! The weather is nice and the holidays are just around the corner! Already wanting to bring out the holiday candles! 5 Years ago I went to General Conference In Utah with a bunch of friends from EAC I say friends now but when we left on that trip I only knew 2 people really Troy and Whitney. Troy had invited me to go after hearing I had never been to Conference before and so we Left I rode with an amazing woman named Kiara and that was the weekend our friendship began. Nieca and Andrienne were among the amazing ladies I also would become friends with on this trip. This to me was a trip of a lifetime for it was on this trip That Kiara said exactly what I needed to hear! I was debating with myself what to do about..Lance McGee this cute guy who kept asking me out and coming over and asking why we couldn't be offical and say we were dating! After leaving conference and on the drive home I knew what I needed to do I needed to see Lance and talk to him! we came home Sunday night and go into thatcher around midnight and my amazing friend Kiara was texting him what I was saying since I was driving hahaha and I asked if I could come by since he was still awake. He said yes. I drove over to his Trailer and was so excited to see him! we cuddled on the couch and I knew he was propably thinking this girl is such a roller coaster! He asked me out on a date for the next evening and I of course said yes! It was October 2 2006 we doubled with his roommate Stratton and Misty ( his wife now), we went potato gun shooting and it was so much fun! I was a little extra cuddly with Lance hoping he would get the clue that I was ready to date him :) That night we talked and I asked him if he was still wanting to date me and he said yeah! and I told him I wanted to date him too! He dropped me off and walked me to my door like a gentleman of course and gave me a look that told me he was going to kiss me! He smiled and Then...He Kissed me :) and we have been together ever since! He is The most amazing,handsome, loving, funny sweet man ever! I am so blessed to be his wife and call him my Husband. He has forever changed my life for the better and I am so happy to have him by my side for all Eternity!

59 Years of Marriage!

My Dear Sweet Amazing Grandparents are Celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary today!! I posted pictures of them here! They are sooo cute! and SOO IN LOVE!!

These two people are such a great example to Me always have been and always will be! They are both so strong in the Gospel and so committed to one another. Its beautiful to see them together and how they still hold hands and my Gramps still opens the door for Grams. Yeah thats what its all about.. Love and taking care of eachother and supporting eachother. Any one who has ever met these two know that They have a lot of Love in them not only for eachother but they just know how to Love people. You can't help but feel it when you are around them! I love these two people soooo much! They gave me my Mom and I will forever cherish them for that alone! They are amazing people and I am very ~~lucky~~ Blessed to have them in my life and honored to call them Grandpa and Grandma!

When Lance and I were figuring out what song we wanted to be our Wedding Song ya know the Song you have your First Dance to We heard this song and it didn't take us long to know it was perfect! I posted the song below but have no idea who it is thats in this viedo

But its the only one that had the best audio haha anyways as you can see Lance whos grand parents have been married for 50 years and 70 years my Dads parents were married for 49 years before my grandpa passed away or they would be celerbrating 61 years this october. My Parents have been married for 36 years and Lance's Parents celebrated 30 years this last June! So you See we really do come from a Long Line Of LOVE :)

Congrats Grandpa and Grandma Coleman on 59 Beautiful years of Marriage! Love you both sooo much! and can't wait to party harty for your 60th! :)

I heart Katy Perry! Her music gives me energy on the Tredmill! I have a lot of her songs on my Ipod because Her songs give me that extra energy and motivation to keep going!! Today I thought I would get on the tredmill and not get off till I hit 5k I did this on Tuesday doing hte couch to 5k and just stayed on longer and did it in 55 minutes today I did it in 43 minutes not letting my speed go less than 4...so speed walking..running speed walking running...ect...and the only thing that kept me going was 2 things one Amber my couch to 5k companion who wasn't there but I kept thinking about her and how I needed to do this and Second Katy Perry MUSIC!!!! now I have a huge blister on my heel and the ball of my foot? weird one on each foot how does that happen? I'm starting to think I don't run right or something lol But it was awesome and such a great feeling finishing but I wanted to die! I have a lot of work ahead of me for this 5k in November!!

Couch to 5k

So I have heard of this exercise program/ app thing before my wonderful Sister in law Allison was doing it a while back didn't think about it much when I decided to get my Fitness on! But to my delight a dear friend Amber emailed me about doing it together for a 5k in November here in Dallas. I can't begin to tell you how much I needed that! I have been motivated but I just wished that I had someone else to do things with me! She too want's to get back into shape and like myself has enjoyed running in the past. I remember in Highschool when I was on the Basketball team we had to get inshape and runnining was the thing Coach always said if we can't out score the other team we will out run them! and she was not lying! I never knew you could run soooo much! but I am soo grateful to my B-ball Coach because of her I fell in love with Running! tredmill or outside don't matter but in life we start to put things on the back burner and I got lazy and what not and have tons of excuses to why I am where I am and started to pick up my love for running agian and her email was perfect timing! I'm gonna own that 5k come Nov 12th! :)

Yes those are the percentages of Lance's Test/quiz scores!! :) One in BioChem 100% and one in Biology Cells and Tissues 90%! He has another test tomorrow in Foundations of Chiropractic! He has studied so much and is at the library A LOT! I am so proud of him and so happy for him that he can see his hard work pay off! :)

Yesterday was the Relief Society Broadcast for the LDS church and it was AMAZING! The words that were spoken that night were exactly what my soul needed to hear!
The thing that touched my heart the most was Pres. Uchdorf's talk this everything part of it was amazing but these 2 things touched me the most

....Forget not to be happy now. Recalling the children's story “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” President Uchtdorf said people were looking for a golden ticket in a candy bar. Unfortunately, the candy bar itself became an utter disappointment if it did not contain a gold ticket, he explained.
"So many people today are waiting for their own golden ticket — the ticket that they believe holds the key to the happiness they have always dreamed about. For some, the golden ticket may be a perfect marriage; for others, a magazine-cover home; or perhaps, freedom from stress and worry. There is nothing wrong with righteous yearnings."
The problem, he added, comes when a person puts their happiness on hold as they wait for some future event — or gold ticket — to appear.

For me My golden Ticket is having a Baby as I was taking notes I put this as my Golden Ticket and how I needed to enjoy every moment I have now. Be happy for what I do Have and not dwell on what I don't. Its okay to have these righteous desires but don't forget about the blessing I have right in front of me....AND then the Last forget not that the Lord Loves you. Often times I have thought that maybe he has forgotten about me..in seeing so many other women having babies and getting pregnant and having another baby I often have wondered If he had forgotten about little ol' me Brittany McGee...and last night answered my question. I am not forgotten. and was reasured that Heavenly Father Loves me and Knows me and who I am. It was a beautiful Broadcast.

Working on My Fitness!

Okay so the amazing thing about Addison Texas is they have an Athletic club! In which all you need to do is be a resident of Addison pay a 1 time fee of $10.00 and you have full access to the club! Its a really nice place with a pool, sauna room, steem room, basketball court, indoor track, tons of tredmills, bikes, stairstepper, spinning ect ...... Yeah its awesome! I have no excuse now to not go work out! So last week I started getting serious about working out and eating better! Watching my portions and so forth because I refused to gain anymore weight and know I need to drop a lot of pounds! So I got on the scale today and low and behold I am 7 pounds lighter! yesterday when I got on the scale I was 5 pounds lighter and that was a huge motivation for me to work out even more and harder so today to see 2 more pounds gone...yeah I'm gonna go get my Work out on! oh and bytheway Music while I'm working out MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE! My Ipod died and I was freaking out and then my amazing Mother in-law sent me an old one she had! Its been AMAZING!! I got 2G of music on that thing that keeps me motivated on whatever it is I am working out on! So here's to more pounds leaving me!

Sleepless Nights

I wake up at 5:15AM but yet it's 10:45PM and I can't seem to go fall asleep...I can't seem to shut my brain off. It is nights like these that when I am lying down my thoughts wonder and usually to my pregnancies and why I can't be a Mom already and how I came so close and how that hurts and how I don't understand why any woman has to feel this hurt or go thru the pain of Infertility and I find myself not just crying for me but crying for the Mothers who lost their little ones way to soon. My heart breaks not only for my own babies but for anyone who is having to live with the pain of infertility and loss. Hands down no contest this whole infertility and mulitiple pregnancy loss is the MOST difficult thing I have had to face in my life. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.
When I start thinking about when we should try agian... I almost feel defeated already like what's the point I will either not get pregnant or get pregnant just to have a loss again! but even when I start to feel like that my mind reminds me of the feelings I felt when Heavenly Father gave me a tender mercy and reminded me of his love for me. Then I think of how there is oposition in all things so If I can feel this amount of pain that just means that there will be that much more amount of Joy....or at least thats what gives me hope. Hope that when my Sunday comes It can heal my heart fully and maybe just maybe help me forget some of this pain. I'm holding on to the Hope for better things to come.

WHITECOAT CEREMONY!

Well tonight Lance had his Whitecoat Ceremony!! What does that mean you ask? Well we weren't to sure either until tonight! :) So 5:00pm came around and we went to Parker University for their "social hour" before the Ceremony I got to meet a few of Lance's new Family which was awesome.

Then 6:00 came and we all gathered in the GYM and Listen to a few speakers talk about what it means to wear the Whitecoat..ect ect I honestly can't tell you most of what they said cause I was super excited to see Lance on the stage and get his Whitecoat but basicly It's something for them to remeber the code of honors and the student pledge and then once they hit Clinicals they could wear the coat if they wanted too....It was pretty cool! :)

Okay so I'm having Flash Back Fridays :) Today's Flash Back is September 11. 2001

It just seems fitting with the 10th anniversary on Sunday.

I remember that day like it was yesterday I was in 8th Grade and woke up just like any other day when the phone rang which was odd because it was like 6:30 am I was in the bathroom getting ready and my Dad answered it and I heard him say turn on the TV! and then I remember him saying " Oh My goodness!" I walked into their bedroom to see what the fuss was about and soon my Sisters followed. To be honest I had no idea what the Trade Center Towers were but remembered seeing them on Friends...it wasn't until my Dad told me what they were that I realized this was very serious!I still wasn't sure exactly what was happening by this time only one plane had hit and we were watching in awe and then the newscaster started to talke about how it looks like another plane is coming and watching it hit the second tower we couldn't believe it! It was like watching a horrible war movie but instead we were watching real life. We watched them fall and I remember crying because of the lives that were loss and whos lives would be changed forever. I was in such disbelief that this was really happening! We were late for school and when we got there I remember Grant Haws our student body pres. had us all in student council pass out pins with american flags on them and no one knew what the heck was going on in every room the tv was on watching the news we had an extra long moment of silient for those in New York and that day it seemed more students were aware of the words we say in the Pledge of Allegance and it sounded louder to me as if maybe today it was just because it was routine but everyone was pledging their Allegance to America and had a little more respect for Our Flag and our Country. That afternoon came and in English class Mrs Sheppard had us write about where we were when we heard what was going on and how we feel and what not she went on to talk about the day she was in school and a teacher came runnign down the hall screaming the President has been shot ( John F. Kennedy) and how she will never forget that day and how she wanted us to write about this day because she knew this day was going to be a day that we and America will never forget and that it will be a story to tell our children and our childrens children.... I think that is what has helped me remember it better. My Mom picked us up from school and that evening we just sat and watched the news. I remember later I think it was a week maybe 2 weeks at the CMA awards we watched and listened to Alan Jackson's proformance of him sitting playing the guitar singing " where were you when the world stoped turing" and I remember me and my sisters crying as he sang the song he wrote after September 11th. My heart goes out to every one who lost a loved one that day. and my heart goes out to every Solider and their families who are Serving our Country and I pray for their safety and that they and their familes will be watched over. Regardless of what politicans are doing and debates that are going on I hope we all remember that we are all Americans we need to be united and remember just how blessed we are to be living in the Big Red, White and Blue The United States of America.

So I was reading the Sunday Comics today and I found one that I thought was funny so I read it out loud to Lance who by the way is playing call of duty right next to me on the couch... So I read him this Comic strip in the Dallas Morning News... Ya gotta read the comic to understand the end part of my post.

So I'm laughing Lance doesn't say a word and I move on to reading another comic and seriously 30 seconds later Lances says " um I think..."( doesn't finish his thought.. he continues to play his game)Me: " what?."
Lance : " Yeah I think Bears crap in the Woods.".....

Educate Yourself

This is my blog and I have shared a lot of personal expierence about my struggles with Infertility and Pregnancy loss. I also know a lot of Woman who are in a very similar boat. However I forget that those who haven't expeirenced or known some one close who are in the boat of infertility Don't understand what that entails and I came across a beautiful website/ blog that made me wish more people would read their stories! More people would educate themselves so that when these things happen to our friends or family we can be a support to them and help them and not cause more pain to them by the ignorant things we say to them( and in general) that of course is all in good intentions but forget about good intentions you know what road is paved with them ... Start educating yourself and your friends. I put it on my facebook page as well but i'm putting it here too!

Last Sunday In RS our lesson was on service but at the end of the lesson the teacher showed us this video. I had seen this veido before several times but this time it seemed to have spoken to my heart more deeply I felt that this video was just for me and I felt Hopeful and Loved

The part that touched my heart and brought me to tears was when he said these words but I felt like he was saying

“ [Brittany] Don’t you quit. You keep walking. [Brittany] You keep trying. There is help and happiness ahead.” Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven. But ~~for those who~~ [ if you ]embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come. It will be all right in the end [Brittany]. Trust God and believe in good things to come.

In that moment my Testimony was stregthened I felt the Spirit so strongly words can describe just how I felt in that moment and every time I watch this video. I am so grateful for the Lords Tender Mercies.

Wake Me Up When September Ends....

I love this song! Its September 1st! yay! Lance has Orientation today and tomorrow and I had to take a picture of this exciting day for him :) He got his overnight bag packed and his sleeping bag all ready to go! His orientation is an overnight! He has no idea what they are doing either! The email he got only told him what to bring lol last night we were laying in bed talking about what today brings for him and how excited he we were about today! I made him Breakfast before he left at 7:00 this morning! :) I think he is gonna have fun! We both think that this morning was all offical stuff about FA, insurance, and ins and outs of the school and then after lunch there were going to be loading into a bus..we think thats when the fun begins.. I'm guessing its a team builder/ we are all in this together...games and what not....so I guess I will find out tomorrow exactly what went down :) I hope he has fun!! Lance night he was singing ..Back to school...Back to school.....it was funny! He was excited for it to begin! :)

My Best Friend

This Is seriously the Man I never get tired of waking up in the morning to, Looking at, Laughing with, Living with, and Loving! 5 years ago this month I met this handsomest, most amazing guy ever in the little town of Thatcher, Arizona right there in the Institure Buliding to be exact lol and I never could have imagine just how Happy I would be and Married to such an amazing Person! Lance is seriously the most amazing Man! He is such a good person and so caring and thoughtful and honors his Priesthood and is SOOO GOOD LOOKIN ;) ( such a bonus! )haha but Seriously I never get tired of hanging out with him! Since we have been In Texas and I don't have a job yet we are both home together pretty much all day doing things together or doing our own things like me unpacking and Lance throws away the boxes or He will go to the store while I clean up and what not or we laugh together at something Daisy did or go to bed but end up talking and laughing all night! Thats my favorite! We tell eachother everything!! We have known eachother now for 5 years now and have been married for just over 4 and with no kids it has really allowed us to build our relationship as a couple and really get to know eachother and just have fun. Of course it all hasn't been fun the Poor guy has to deal with a very emotional wife! but He is so great and never complains at least to me about how difficult I can be :) and we have our moments like all marriages do. We have had our fair share of difficult times and heart ache with all the baby stuff but he has been so sweet and so kind during everthing rather it be flowers and a card just out of the blue or cause he knows i'm having a hard time or when he came home early from work after our last ultrasound that confirmed we had no baby anymore and brought flowers with him He is sooo considerate of my feelsing! we have grown so much closer and understand eachother a lot better I am SOOO blessed to spend Eternity with him and grow old with him. He is such an amazing Husband and friend and I know one day He will make such a GREAT Dad and our daughters will want to marry him! lol I am so ~~lucky~~ Blessed to have him in my Life. I never thought you could love someone so much!

Farmers Market

First off this was the Biggest Watermelon I have EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! A guy who was there buying stuff said thats the sweetest watermelon you will have you can't get that at walmart! :) lol thats what made us get it! That and the fact that it was HUGE!

Look its longer than our Toaster Oven and HUGE! BUT! It was the Best Watermelon Lance and I have ever had!! SO GOOD! plus its huge and still super sweet and juicy and PERFECT!

Peaches...Texas Peaches...So this is from the Dallas Farmers Market and one they have you taste the food! they cut it up in pieces and slices and you cna try it! yummy! This was the best Peach slice I have had and that cute guy selling it..when I say cute I mean he was old and totally country!! He said "This here is the Sweetest Peaches ya'll gonna find this side of the Mississippi" :) HE WASN"T LYING! I'm not a huge fan of Peaches but holy cow!!! These Peaches are the Sweetest this side of the Mississippi!! hehehe :) SO YUMMY!! I ate 2 or 3 just yesterday! and I'm really not a fan of peaches!!! We got some cherry tomatoes cause get this Lance said I like those on Salad's.......Lance eats Salad cause I put it on his plate if i didn't he wouldn't eat it but since we have been here! He notices we are low on lettuce and gets more!! SO AWESOME! We also got Freash Green Beans, White necturines and I think thats it. LOVE THE FARMERS MARKETS HERE!!

The state flag can be seen more than the American flag! signs that Say Don't mess with Texas ...no litering fine $300 so great! or DWI you can't afford it! with up in the top corner of the sign saying Don't mess with Texas! lol We have gotten alot done in a week! come monday we will have our own Internet and that I am super excited about! I've been applying and trying to apply lots of places! it will be nive when the internet is working fast and what not! :) We have one last room to finish unpacking which is my craft room slash catch all room :) But Lance has everything he needs to start classes and what not so its all good! The people here are super nice and friendly! SO far So good :)

Baby Fever....

We went to Target today to get a Digital antenna and walked past the baby clothes and accessories :( Such cute little onezies and cute baby socks and blankets and strollers and car seats....and so forth and it just made me happy and sad mainly sad! Happy because when we do have our baby there are such cute stuff for he or she can have and wear....and sad because well 1. I could have already had a baby in those cute onezies and 2. I could have had a baby in those cute onezies come Feb of next year :( but instead I have option 3. No baby, No Baby, No cute Onezies, No Baby, NO BABY...instead I just have more of the waiting game and that Awesome waiting game is having to be pushed further forward because I again have no baby and can't try to have a baby for the next 2 months...oh Happy day!...*sarcastic tone* Sometimes I just feel like SCREAMING! Grrrrrr Sorry for the venting session but its my Blog and I can pout if I want to!

Addison Texas!!!

Okay so pictures to come but for now the story/ our journey to Texas!

We left Maricopa around 10:45am on Wednesday after Daisy got her last hair cute from Pet Stylist and we said our goodbyes to Alli and ROy and Marlee = SUPER HARD! During this last year Me and Alli have gotten super close and every time she came home from school and clinicals we would talk for awhile and now its just weird! She is one of my Best friends and I won't see her for a long time so anyways before I start crying again! We came into Mesa so we could say goodbye to my Aunt Judy, Brother Dusy, and Sisters Nikki and Kristy and her family. all really really really really HARD! But we got on the road to Holbrook! Got to spend time with Lance's Mom and Dad and Sister Tess and also got to visit with Lance's best friend from childhood on up Cayla which was great!

My Parents got there Wed night and then Thrusday morning we had 13 hours and 13 mins to drive to get to addison we ended up leaving Holbrook at about 8:30 am because my Mom lost her wallet!! and she needed ID in order to come home on the plane so we needed to go to the DMV to get her a new license! Still haven't found the Wallet :( We were making pretty good timing for pulling a Trailer We got to New Mexico and got some gas and this guy was seriously 10 feet away from the pumps in the parking lot of LOVES and had a sign that said OUT OF GAS! and had 2 Gas cans as well sitting by his car! I don't Lance Who's gonna tell that idiot he is in the parking lot of a Gas Station! I wish I took a picture of it! obviously he wanted the money but why not do that further away from a Gas Station!? haha well our plan was to get to Witchita Falls thursday and then drive the rest of the way Friday morning we Got Witchita Falls and Lance says lets go all the way! so I called my Dad who was driving the car if he was good to drive the rest of the way he said Yes! So Lance Drank a Red Bull lol We arrived in Addison Texas at about 2:00am Texas time so Midnight AZ time. We stayed at Quality Inn and Suites just a mile from our Appartments and got some well deserved Sleep! Daisy did great through out the whole trip!! Mom and Dad flew out yesterday and I got the kitchen unpacked and most of the living room today we are unpacking Bedroom and Bathroom completly! Our Ward today was really nice! I have a good feeling about it however I MISS MARICOPA 2nd WARD! It was weird to go to church and not see familar faces! but everyone is really nice so I am excited for our new adventure for sure!!

Moving Day!!

I can not believe the day has come!! I can't sleep tonight but by the time I post this it will be Moving Day for the McGee's and Thats CrAzY!!! Our house is packed and ready to go and it is sooo weird to see our house this way! It's kinda sad I get super sentimental and the fact that this is/was our First Home and I totally love it and would still be living in it if we could makes me sad to leave it and the memories I keep taking tons of pictures of it so that I can show our kids their parents first house! We have been very blessed with our Short Sale and have 2 Offers in and maybe another 1....we aren't the only ones who agree our House is AMAZING! I feel so blessed to be able to have such great memories here In Copa and in our home. I know we were suppose to come to Maricopa and I am sooo Glad we did! There are amazing People here!! I keep telling Lance how Bitter Sweet this move is bitter because we are moving so Far away and gonna miss our family and friends and our home and maricopa and we have alot of friends in our situation that can relate to us in our baby troubles and have alot of support here! but Sweet because Lance finally figured out what he wants to do for his Career and is very happy about it and excited for new adventures in a new State! all we have known (minus Lances mission in Idaho) is Arizona! Everyone so far has had nothing but good things to say about Texas and I'm super excited about that :) so like I said Bitter Sweet move. TO anyone thinking of buying a house look in Maricopa its the BEST!! :) and if you can move to Maricopa 2nd Ward its the greatest Ward EVER!!! and I am going to miss All of the Young Women! and alot more people too. I guess this is the start of a new chapter in book of Lane and Brittany McGee...(some would say McGeek :) tehhehe )

Pretty Picture in Addison

It is beyond Crazy to think that I have one Sunday Left with Maricopa 2nd Ward! Can I just say that 2nd Ward is THE BEST! We got so lucky and so Blessed to have had the chance to be in such an Amazing Wonderful, Fun and Awesome Ward! We wouldn't have had it any other way! I'm going to miss Maricopa 2nd Ward SOOOOO MUCH!

So tonight we looked up our new Ward and Bishop so we could call them and get the E.Q. to Help us Move into our Place there in Addison. Looks like the McGee's are gonna be in Dallas 6th Ward come August 21st! :) excited and nervous all at the same time! I really hope we love Dallas 6th Ward! Fingers crossed!

I still can't believe this is our last full week in Arizona!

Feeling the Love

Wow between the comments and the messages I have recieved I am definently feeling the Love. Thank you so all of your sweet and kind words. They mean more to me than you will ever know.

I want to make sure you guys know that Me and Lance are doing very well all things considering. I thought if this happened to me again I would lose it but really emotionally it hasn't been near as bad and I think for one its because of the prayers in our behalf and this time a baby didn't develope so it wasn't as heart breaking for me. does it stink i'm not gonna have a baby yes don't get me wrong but I can't dwell on that becuase dwelling on it won't make it better won't magically make a baby appear so I have chosen to not let this get me down. Last time was extremly hard EXTREMLY! poor Lance i'm sure wondered if I was ever coming back or gonna be the same. but this time I prayed the day of the 1st ultrasound and honestly just gave it to Heavenly Father. Some times crap happens but everytime this stuff happens me and Lance grow so much closer as a couple and grow as a person and closer to Heavenly Father that I wouldn't change anything. I know one day our Sunday will come and we will be able to hold our sweet little big miracle's in our arms and we will be the most amazing parents ever! :) but until then we will put our Trust and Faith in Heavenly Father because He is the only one that sees the whole picture.

Hcg Drop

Well I called triage today at about 11:00am for my HCG level results 89,801..So I got my List of things I would need and headed to Walgreens to pick up my perscriptions. Picked them up got some Taco Bell and headed home. I put some chicken in the crock pot with some BBQ sauce so Lance would have dinner and myself with out me having to do nothing pretty much. so 12:45 came and I took my first round of Cytotec.
( Lets rewind and remember why I have to do this. I have a Blighted Olvum aka Missed Miscarriage, its been 10 weeks since my last period and my body thinks its pregnant the longer I wait for a my body to natually sluff the stuff off the higher my risk is for a Septic Pregnancy which can lead to infection and Surgery and problems in the future for getting pregnant so the sooner the better)

Okay so like I said 12:45 cytotec and 1:12 I took one lortab since Tylenol can put me to sleep pretty good I figured I would only need one. I WAS WRONG! from 2:40 until about 6:30 today I had the worse pain you can even imagine!!!! I took another lortab at 2:40 when the pain was kicking in and never got relief at all!! we are talking so painful I throw up!!!! It was 50 times worse than last time and lasted alot longer!! Finally when my 4 hours had been hit I took 2 Lortab at once at 6:30pm it finally kicked in made me feel so weird Lance said I was singing before I fell asleep I asked me what song I was singing he said all kinds of songs! bahahah I don't even remember! I feel asleep for 2 hours finally with no pain! It was wonderful!! Ate dinner and one of my best friends Darcy came over to drop off flowers and food the YW wanted to give me :) so sweet of them! I missed mutral tonight which I was sad about :( but Feeling better with my pain meds in me and doing good! SO glad my Mother in law is coming tomorrow to help me pack! She is amaizng and I love her so much!! THank you everyone again for the prayers I appreciate them! Lance and I are doing very well and our spirits are high and I know your prayers have helped!

Pregnancy Update

Well it looks like the McGee family will still have to wait some more before we get our baby. Ultrasound today confirmed again that there is no fetal pole no baby in my Sac my uterus measured one day bigger than the last ultrasound a week ago....so what that means is since I'm not spotting or bleeding or cramping I have 2 options one take a pill that will help the bleeding two surgery (D and C) I voted no to surgery! My doc was happy with that she doesn't like D and C so I had ot go back to the lab to get bloodwork for my hcg levels since they only did it once! boo so she wants to see another level plus my progestrone levels also so i did that and I dropped my perscriptions off at Walgreens my labs should come back tomorrow afternoon so I have to call triage tomorrow to see if my levels are decreasing as well since the so as of friday my Hcg levels are 101,716 tomorrow when I call if they are less than that I get to pop in 3 pills called Cytotec and within 6 hours it should start the process of flushing out my uterus and She also gave me some pain meds to go with it! Thank Heavens!

I am so grateful to all of you who kept us in your prayers and I know that because of the prayers I am really feeling at peace with the situation and know That Heaven Father has a plan and he knows us and loves us so much and everything happens for a reason even if we can't see it. I am very grateful that my Body has gotten pregnant cause that is a good sign! Its times like this that I realize just how much of a miracle having a baby is and I am so happy for all my friends who are having a healthy pregnancy and I'm praying for all my friends who are still trying for their miracle as well. Love you all and Mothers who are reading this give your little one an extra hug from all the Mom's in waiting. :)

Blood Work Blood Work Blood work...

Monday is my last day of blood work! so far I have been super neaseous and thrown up a few times its been awesome!i notive when I eat the foods i'm craving i feel alot better! no spotting or cramping which is SUPER GREAT! Tuesday can't come sooner! trying to pack up the house has been a little challenging but my Awesome Sister in law Allison has been helping me and my Amazing Mom (in law) is coming to help next week too! I have an amazing Family and feel very blessed to have them in my life!

Ultrasound

Well I wish I could post pictures of our ultrasound but the tech didn't give us any since they couldn't see the baby or find the heart beat just a sac.( which i thought at one of pictures when she was moving it around and what not that i saw something little on one of the sides and i thought she was gonna say there we go but she just by based it) My ultrasound confirms i'm 7 weeks preggers and DOc sent me for blood work to check levels rising and 3 times and then had me schedule another appointment on Tuesday for an ultrasound....if levels are rising and ultrasound comes back the same i have a blighted olvum and if my body didn't naturally M/C i would need an D&C or she said if from now until tuesday i start spotting she told me that it will be a M/C she also said if my levels are rising the ultrasound could come back and we see a baby and heart beat then. she didn't want to diagnosis anything with out bloodwork and another ultrasound.

so of course i Googled it and found forums that had a good amout of ladies who said this happen to them and their 7 or 6 week ultrasound and the docs told them they need a D & C said no and waited and a week some 2 weeks they had an ultrasound and low and behold a baby and strong heartbeat so for now since i'm still pregnant and still feeling sick i'm confused but i'm hopeful. Morning Sickness...say what?

I'm pretty sure the person who named it "morning" sickness was a guy. I think it sould just be called Pregnancy sickness because it happens all day long! lol Its been great I have been very happy that i'm getting sick its a really good sign plus its a reminder to me that I have an amazing miracle baby in me and that makes it all worth wild. yesterday was the first day I threw my guts up and it was awesome! i had my morning shake of spinach, strawberries, and blueberries and for some reason my body didn't want it in my tummy very long totally threw it all up! plus throwing up a shake isn't that bad so i'm glad thats what i ate! plus lately i've just been neaseous all day long pretty much and after throwing up i had like 2 hours of not feeling neaseous so it was AMAZING! I feel like a little kid at church with my "snacks" aka keep my tummy feeling okay crackers and what not. this pregnancy hasn't even come close to being the same as last time. I think its cause its a healthy pregnancy and plus i am further along than i was before too. so tomorrow I have my first ultrasound and I'm soooooo freaking excited for it. Almost feeling like I'm dreaming like it hasn't hit me that tomorrow I'm gonna see my little baby and hear his or her heartbeat I have no idea how thats gonna be but I hear its one of the best feelings ever so I'm super excited! especially since the last time I had an ultrasound to check on the baby my uterus was completly empty and they confirmed my complete miscarriage so its gonna be awesome to see something! and HEAR something too!!

Not a day goes by that I don't feel like I really have to enjoy every moment even the neaseous and throwing up because I know there are so many wonderful women who would do anything to be in my situation and I know this because I use to be one of those women who would give their right arm to feel "morning sickness" or feel gross because theres a baby inside of you not because you have the flu or anything. I am very grateful for my little big miracle and I refuse to complain about it because I just can't its just to wonderful and i've waited so long for it. I pray everyday for couples to get their miracle and to get it SOON!

I am a total Dork and I know this for one I have peed on what like 8 or 10 sticks because I love that TWO BIG FAT LINES show up!

and the other one well watching women post on youtube their pregger result video...some are hilarious cause the camera is not showing anything and so it makes the girls look crazy and others are just so sweet and touching that I cry and laugh watching them! so if you are bored check out youtube pregnancy tests lol

OH i have an ultrasound tuesday to verify i'm 8 weeks (9 weeks come tuesday) and to hear heart beat!! :) so beyond excited i could scream!!!!

Doctors Appointment

So I have a Doctors Appointment at G & P fingers cross the dr will send for me to have an ultra sound that day!! I wanna hear my babys heart beat sooo bad!! plus it will confirm if I am 7 weeks or 9 weeks preggers this week!!! either way I am further along than I have been and that makes me feel so good and relieved...Have I told you how much I love Pro gest cream and Acupuncture!? because I LOVE THEM! Today was the first I had a VERY VERY strong Craving...Chinese Food! so i made this yummy dinner and it totally hit the spot! I feel so VERY VERY blessed and grateful to be in this situation and I am so HAPPY :)

1,250 Days...

Thats how many day's I have waited for this 1,250....

That is 29,976 hours I have waited for this....

That is 3 Years 5 Months and 3 Days I've waited for this...

On July 4th 2011 I woke up like any other day we watched the hot dog contest we watched the patriot and national tresure we ate yummy BBQ!! and then right be fore we went out side to the fireworks I thought maybe I should take a test didn't think much of it and didn't even tell Lance cause I was thinking it wasn't a big deal it would come back neg. or it was to early for anything anyways but i ran back to the bathroom to look at the test before we went outside and to my surprise it had 2 Lines!! 2 LINES!!! I couldn't believe it so i grab a flashlight because out lights were all out for the fireworks we were gonna watch in our backyard Lance came in to grab the camera and I told him I had something to show him I shined the flashlight on the test and Lance said what is that!? " what does it look like?" i said. " i don't know it kinda looks like a test but i've never seen one like that before" ( it was a strip so not a pee on the stick one) i said do you see the two lines? he said yeah when did you take this test? i said tonight! he was so suprise one because i usally tell him when i'm taking a test and 2 i didn't tell him this time and it was early and it was POSITIVE!!!we hugged and cried a little and then watched the most beautiful fireworks display! it was the best 4th of July EVER!! later that week i got a first response test and on my missed period it came back with another BFP!!! for anyone who has followed my blog you know this isn't the first positive i have gotten last novemeber i got one too...and this month I would have been due to have the baby but in stead the Lord blessed me with another one on its way! I have been so blessed! I have been using progestrone cream and acupuncture and I believe 100% that is how i was able to get preggers. i have kept using progestrone cream to help keep the pregnancy strong and healthy and so far i have been pregnant longer than last time and have no reason why this pregnancy won't go full term....The Doctors are hopeful and we are too! I just want to let you all know i still pray every night for those friends and family that are still suffering with Infertility and I pray your miracle day will come SO SO SO SO SOON!!

Summer Time

This last week I spent in Young Az. with my sister Kristy, Nikki and Monica and my Mom! plus my sisters kiddos! IT WAS SOOO MUCH FUN!!! we got a lot done mowing and clearing out stuff and making the ranch look good for the Family reunion that was this weekend! I can't believe how much my nieces and nephews have grown! it was awesome to spend time with them and to see family before leaving too!! I love spending time with Family! now this weekend Lance goes to Texas to find us a place to live! :) so excited for that adventure but of course gonna miss family and friends like crazy!!!

36 Weeks..

I try not to think about it and to get my mind to think of other things and keep myself busy and not thinking of what could have been. I would have been 36weeks today I would have already had my baby shower the baby room would be finished and I would be patiently waiting for our little one to arrive.....BUT that is not what I am doing. Instead I hear of friends and family being preggers and having babies..babies that would have been just a few months apart from mine. Its not hearing of birth announcements or pregnancy that hurts its the feeling I get when I think to myself that litteraly could be me and my heart breaks just a little bit. I know everything happens for a reason and most of the time we will never know that reason but just like the scripture says in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, 11

Sometimes I just wish his time was NOW. However things happen in our life for us to grow and learn and one thing I have learned is compassion and that life really is so fragile and that it truely is a miracle that anyone gets pregnant. I often think that since this happen the really good thing that came out of it in my eyes is that Mr L was able to make a decision on what he wanted to do for his career and I am so happy for that so true I'm not nesting but I'm packing up my house and getting things in order to move to Dallas TX so that Mr L can start Chiropractic School and start the career he wants and that really does make me SMILE :) So this is our Time to Grow closer as Husband and Wife and so far I would say we are doing amazing.

My Dad is my Hero for many many Reasons! He has had to endure alot of heartache and turmoil from people who tried to defeat him and slaughter his name. however Not one day did my Father say anything ill about any one apart of this crazy freak insident that happen to him. Not one day did my Father ever let us think it was okay for us to hold bad feelings towards any of them either. His Testimony of the Gospel was strong and grew because he Had a testimony of Jesus Christ of the atonement. because of his great courage and strength he rasied eveyone of us kids in the Gospel and taught us to live life with a smile on your face and be grateful for everything! He took time to take us kids camping and fishing and Built his daughters a Log cabin Play house!! What Dad does that! MINE!! My Dad is never scared to stand up for what he believes in. He doens't care what others think of him He knows who he is and lives each day so that he can be with his Family Forever! My Dad Is my Hero!

I am blessed to have a Father In-Law who is amazing! I am very grateful for the man he is and for being such a great example. He is so funny and so much fun to be around! He also Raised an amazing Son who happens to be the worlds best Husband and I am Grateful every day for the man my father in law is and that his son takes after him. I feel so blessed to not only have a Dad who is everything a girl could wish for but to then be blessed with a Father in-Law who is WONDERFUL and AMAZING as well!

So packing is sooo much fun! NOT.... packing up our apartments were easy we lived in small apartments and i remembered mostly how i packed things up, offfice bathroom, bedroom kitchen.....well now we have lived in our House for 3 years! i have 2 living rooms, office guest bedroom with closet, craft room, 2 bathrooms and a master bedroom, and we are moving out of state!! so i have to get things in order of what are we taking what are we storing what are we selling what are we getting rid of....feeling just a little overwhelmed because i wish i was magic like sabrina the teenage witch and could just point to the things and get them taken care of! oh how wonderful that would be! i just wish it was all packed and ready to go already! haha not that i'm in a hurry to leave AZ or Maricopa because i'm not...but I am ready to start our new adventure and begin the first step to Lance's career!.... I am so proud of Lance and his great accomplishments! we have changed degrees many times but i am so glad he has found something he is happy with and very excited with! He too is ready for school he just wants to get it started the sooner you start the sooner you finish!

I can't believe how fast its going to go by before i know it its going to be August and we will be moving and i'm sure i'll be thinking where did the time go!! It came so fast! so i'm enjoying everyday and thanking Hevenly Father for our beautiful home and for letting us make such wonderful friends here in Maricopa.

It all started when my sister Nikki was going to get married and move out the night obefore she got married My sister Kristy and I got our fake microphones ya know a brush and a turkey baster (sp?) and in our room danced and sang this song to her of course by the end all three of us were dancing and singing and cryingthen in a big hug crying!! knowing this was the end of a chapter in our lives where us sisters were just sisters we were still Dad and mom's little girls and we all lived in the same house under the same roof and still had to answer to mom and dad ...this is what we wond't to leave with our sister and ever since then on the night before we each got married us sisters spent the night at my parents house one last time and me and nikki sang this song for kristy and then kristy and nikki sang and danced for me for the last time were could do this for us sisters since i was the last to get married... but now when i hear this song i think of those 3 memories of singing and dancing with my sisters on the night before we got married

It gives me hope but when I listen to it..well it reminds me of when I miscarried at 2 months and I was certain that it was a boy. Well last night Lance and I had a very long talk which I always love and of course tears came like always lately for me.
There are somethings I will never understand but thats okay I have come to realize that life is full unknowns and things we can't rap our heads around.
I have been frustrated lately with the fact that is June now and we MC in December and given the green light to TTC since February. I think I just thought we would get preggers right away since my body knows how but that hasn't been the case and between wanting to have a baby we have both been scared because of the fear of losing one again.
I don't know how I got so blessed to have such a great husband he is seriously the sweetest thing ever! last night we were talking about alot of stuff and Mr McGee for the first time actually said to me that he was scared and then the next thing he said made me cry and just fall in love with him all over again he said "I don't like to see you hurt and in pain and that really hurt." and i said sweetheart thats out of your control. and then he said " but its my job to protect you form pain and hurt."

My sweet husband always wanting to make sure I'm happy and safe and free of anything painful or heartbreaking....I had to remind him of the ultimate plan. with out pain we would know no Joy. and it was such a sweet moment. I know the MC was hard on him but I forgot that it was probably harder on him cause he had to be the one to catch me and pick up the pieces and how much that must of hurt him to see me in so much pain and heartache and all he could do was watch and hold me through it all. He is such a great man and an amazing husband I know without a shadow of doubt he is going to be the most amazing Daddy ever!

I'm pretty sure in the pre-exsitence when Heavenly Father called me up to give me my mission and let me know what I was about to get myself into on Earth ..when it came to this part in my life I probably cried and he assured me it would be okay cause he was going to make sure that through all of this heart ache and pain he would put a righteous amazing sweet caring and loving man named Lance McGee next to me to hold hands with through it all and that that he was going to help me through it. and that has made all the difference.

I have hope and I have faith that all the things I don't understand and ask why? its not really important its how I make it through even if i don't know why and i don't understand i know Heavenly Father loves me and Lance and that no matter what thats really all that matters. just some days are harder than others :)

We have had a very busy May! Our trip to Europe, Statton and Jessica got married and our Little Sister Tess Graduated!! as Salutitorian no less :) She is amazing!! She starts at BYU on June 17th!! Its crazy to see how fast time flies and how much she has grown up! I can't believe she is old enough to leave home now! between her leaving for Utah and us for Texas its gonna be a while before we see eachother and thats not cool :( but thats Life :) I can't find the photos took of Graduation so i'll post those later but on our way up to Holbrook we stopped to take this pretty picture

Okay so our trip to Italy was amazing and we took alot of pictures so I am posting Just Venice for now on FACEBOOK it takes way to long on this blog thing! lol so for now i'm getting Venice since it was our first stop in Italy and then i will add more as i get the time! lol i will put one or two pictures of each place here still but after i get done with facebook I wish it didn't take so long on this blog cause i like this better than facebook but oh well

I started a journal while were were on our trip so here it is.....this is the first 4 days of our trip!! :) VENICE

April 27th or is it April 28th lol so we Arrived at Sky Harbor ready to go at about 6 30ish when we were driving AA called us to inform us that our plane had been delayed an hour. By the time we got to the air port it was delayed 2 hours we checked in and asked them about our connecting flight in Chicago because we would only have about 30 minutes to get off the plane and get to our next flight so they moved us to us airways to a sooner flight and upgraded us to first class! Woot woot! Well we got spoiled we had French toast, turkey sasuage a biscutt and fruit for breakfast the stewardest called us my mr and mrs mcgee…awesome! And I got a good hour of sleep then the plane ride from you know where we are in the 2nd to last row of this huge long plane that sits 2 4 2 and I have the widow lance has the aisle and it was the most uncomfortable plane sit ever! And it was super hot the whole way so needless to say we got zero amount of sleep for the 7 hour and 50min flight we were on! Yuck! Now we are safe and sound in Madrid Spain with one more stamp in our passport and just 3 hours till our flight leaves to Venice! Ps the bathrooms are super clean here but the toilet paper….is sandpaper!

Well its been a few days since I last wrote in this which is not goo but I will finish where I left off
So Siberia is the plane we went on from Madrid to Venice it was about 2 and ½ hours and it was the longest worst flight ever! Lance and I both felt like Zombies! The sleepiness got us and we both kept dozing on and off and it was horrible and such a small plane our carry on’s had to go under the plane and we had a bus drive us to our plane! Crazy!! BUT THE WEATHER WAS GREAT! Well we got to Marco san Polo airport and was very blessed and VERY HAPPY that all our luggage got to us!  so after that we went to this ticket thing that was like a kiosk thing to get bus tickets well its all in Italian and we don’t know that language but low and be hold there is an English language/ British flag option! So we try to figure out what we want which is the bus not a water taxi or a water bus! But we want to get to VENICE! Well we are blessed again and looked for logos and found the same one on our ticket as on the sign and it was a bus and the man who was driving said Venezia which is Italian for Venice! Woot woot! We are navigating around this trip like pros! The bus ride is Beautiful we are tired but now that fact that we are in Italy on our way to Venice has awaken new energy that we didn’t know we had! We cross the big long bridge to Venice from the main land and Lance takes the Venice book from Rick steve’s who we love! Out and away we go! Luggage in hands and rolling we went to locate our hotel Henry we walked…and walked…and climbed up steps…with one big suitcase and a small carryon suitcase on wheels each and lance with a back pack and me with my purse……and walked….and climbed….and finally we figured out we were not going to find our hotel because we were in the WRONG AREA! There are no straight streets in Venice nor are they labeled well or have side walks its just stones and rocks and they are pretty uneven and now the tiredness kicks in and I’m thinking we are screwed! We are not gonna find our amazing hotel that has a bed that is calling my name but Lance walking like he has been in Venice and knows where he is going puts us back on the right road and we come to wall and a small opening and lance stops a local askes us where and speaks Italian we know he is asking us if we need help or what we are looking for lance says Hotel Henry and shows him the book he says “ ahh Hotel Henry. Go (points to the left) go ( points to the right) Hotel Henry!” sure enough we go left and almost pass it up until I tell Lance Hotel Henry is what we want and he says yes and there it is on the right just like the kind Italian Man said! We check in and get a map of Venice the room is nice its small but is perfect for us the shower is tiny the toilet is weird! Lol but all in all nice I suggest us taking showers to help wake us up since we can’t go to bed for another 3 1/2 hours since its 3:30pm Venice time….and we are soooo tired our beds are SOOOOO comfy!! So we take our showers and begin looking at the city of Venice its amazing we are both amazed that we are in Venice we are starving and trying to find a place to eat not hard but trying to find a place that is cheap and had something we wanted to eat….we settle for a cute little place and ended up having the worst service and lance took a few bites and his tummy was feeling bad and my pizza was good cause I was starving we ended up walking back to the hotel since dinner took forever and lance wasn’t feeling very good we climbed into bed and I was out! Then I woke up to lance throwing up in the bathroom I asked him if he was okay since the other day I was doing that too…he then came back to bed and then a couple of hours later I woke up again to poor lance throwing up again! He ended up throwing up most of the night and thank goodness he didn’t have the runs then we slept in very late cause we were so tired and lance finally stopped throwing up I think we finally woke up at like 1 in the afternoon we got ready and began our walking we walked to our waterbus stop that is very close to our hotel and purchased a 48 hour ticket for both of us and it was the best 28 euros we spent! We took a water bus all around Venice and took tons of pictures and were amazed with the beauty and majesty of this great place! The buildings were amazing!! We found a great park in which I ate a sandwich from the grocery store COOP and it was amazing! An old guy/ bum was sleeping on one of the bench’s and he walked up and walked to the wall in the park with lots of trees and bushes and we both looked at each other and said did he just get up to go pee!? LOL it was very funny he just decided to go in the park! Lol we weren’t very impressed by the food. It was amazing we went to St. Marks basilica and it was beautiful and amazing! We loved Venice and very often we would just walk down a street and see where it lead and it was awesome! We got to see tons of cathedrals and got to meet an artist in his house and bought one of his works it was super cool and seriously amazing! I was a little worried Venice would not hold up to my high expectations but it completely blow my expectations out of the water! I LOVE GELATO!! We woke up one early early morning like around 2 and we could not go back to sleep we both laughed and talked a little bit and finally we fell back asleep! The hotel was nice we were hardly there so it being small was fine! I WANT TO GO BACK TO VENICE!!! MUCH MORE PICTURES TO COME!!!!
